We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Midland, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to take on a dynamic role within human resources, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee onboarding processes, including orientations for new employees and benefits enrollment.
• Manage employee benefits updates related to qualifying events, terminations, and retirements.
• Administer payroll for bi-weekly and semi-monthly employees to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and organizing interviews.
• Maintain and organize personnel records in compliance with legal standards, including I-9 forms and E-Verify documentation.
• Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbooks to ensure alignment with labor laws.
• Collaborate with managers to create job descriptions, address performance concerns, and implement improvement plans.
• Facilitate training programs focused on compliance, leadership, and skill development.
• Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations, including managing wage garnishments.
• Proven experience in human resources roles, including employee relations and benefits administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in business correspondence.
• High school diploma required; a degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with labor laws and compliance requirements, including FMLA, OSHA, and ADA regulations.
