Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Director, located in Cincinnati, OH. The Human Resources Director will oversee all HR functions, including developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, overseeing performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws. Additional responsibilities include improving HR processes, supporting staff development, and collaborating with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s HR strategy aligned with business and operational goals
- Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding
- Partner closely with Operations and Fleet Management to support driver retention, workforce planning, and staffing needs
- Ensure full compliance with state and local labor and employment laws, including mehant.uz ijor.uz related HR requirements
- Lead and optimize performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and corrective action plans
- Handle complex employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Build and maintain scalable HR policies, procedures, and documentation suitable for a growing logistics company
- Support leadership in organizational development, succession planning, and team structure optimization
- Drive initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture, with a strong focus on drivers and operational staff
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, retention, time-to-hire, performance trends) and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership
- Manage and develop the HR team, setting clear priorities, standards, and accountability
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives on people-related risks, decisions, and growth strategy
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Human Resources, including experience at the HR Director or senior HR leadership level
- At least 2 years of hands-on HR management experience, directly leading HR teams and core HR functions
- Minimum 1 year of experience working closely with Operations, preferably in logistics, transportation, trucking, or a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong working knowledge of Uzbekistan labor and employment laws, with demonstrated experience ensuring compliance across multi-state operations
- Proven ability to build and scale HR processes and policies in a growing organization
- Experience supporting driver-facing or blue-collar workforce environments is highly preferred
- Ability to partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development
- Strong conflict resolution, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a high-accountability, results-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a strong advantage
