Salary: $88,000 – $92,000 annually

About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Human Resources Director to join our leadership team. This pivotal role will shape organizational culture, strengthen systems, and support staff across all levels. The ideal candidate is a credible leader with deep HR expertise and a passion for building equitable, compliant, and high-performing workplaces.
Please note: While the home base for this position is in Williston, regular travel to our Barre, Burlington, and Morrisville locations is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and Leadership Team
- Lead organizational systems development, including job descriptions, reporting lines, performance management, and policy implementation
- Drive compliance and risk management, ensuring labor law adherence and benefits administration
- Support managers through coaching, conflict resolution, and role clarity initiatives
- Oversee hiring processes, onboarding improvements, and staff training programs
- Foster a positive, mission-aligned culture and guide the organization through stabilization and lead implementation of a new 5 year strategic plan
- Co-lead safety planning and ensure equitable accommodations and benefits
- Manage payroll and timekeeping systems accurately and efficiently
Qualifications (only applicants that fulfill these requirements will be contacted)
- 8–10 years of progressive HR experience in leadership roles
- Payroll experience required; familiarity with multi-state taxation preferred
- Strong knowledge of labor law, compliance, and risk management
- SHRM or PHR certification required
- Exceptional communication, listening, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to address complex dynamics and guide organizational culture
