Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources activities. This role serves as a key partner to senior leadership and operations, ensuring that people strategies directly support business performance, growth objectives, and organizational culture.
The HR Manager provides hands‑on leadership across employee relations, talent management, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices. Acting as both a trusted advisor and an accountable owner of HR execution, this role balances strategic thinking with day‑to‑day problem solving in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to influence leaders at all levels. The HR Manager proactively identifies risks and opportunities, uses data to inform decisions, and champions initiatives that enhance employee engagement, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with VP People Leader to align HR strategies with business objectives
- Lead initiatives related to growth, M&A and process improvement
- Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective actions
- Coach managers on performance management, documentation, and conflict resolution
- Champion organizational culture by reinforcing company values, promoting employee engagement, and supporting initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Support onboarding, the new hire experience and retention initiatives
- Identify development needs and succession planning opportunities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain and enforce company policies, procedures, and HR best practices
- Leverage HRIS and reporting tools to track trends and inform decision‑making
- Analyze HR metrics related to turnover, engagement, performance, and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 5-8+ years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP) preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting multi‑site or field‑based organizations preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
