Job Title: Regional HR Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Regional HR Director to lead all human resources functions for a manufacturing operation in the packaging industry. This role will serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, drive employee relations strategies, and support business objectives through strong HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead union labor relations, including grievance handling, investigations, arbitration, and contract support.
- Partner with leadership on labor strategy, workforce planning, and staffing for 24/7 operations.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management programs.
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture and resolve employee concerns fairly and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive safety, wellness, and employee development programs in partnership with operations and EHS.
- Track HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, engagement) and provide insights and reporting to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong union labor relations experience required.
- Knowledge of compensation, benefits, talent development, and employee relations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in packaging, paper, pulp, or heavy manufacturing preferred
