The HR Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, providing leadership and direction to the HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition teams. This role ensures consistent execution of HR policies, processes, and systems across the organization and serves as an escalation point for HR Supervisors. The HR Manager partners closely with the Director of HR to drive execution of strategic HR initiatives and lead high-impact projects that support organizational growth and scalability.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.
- Oversee daily HR operations including employee relations, policy interpretation, compliance, onboarding/offboarding, and benefits administration.
- Serve as the escalation point for HR Supervisors, providing guidance and direction for complex employee relations or compliance issues.
- Manage and oversee recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with workforce planning and organizational growth goals.
- Ensure effective use and optimization of HR systems, including Paycom, for reporting, analytics, and process automation.
- Partner with leadership on the creation, revision, and communication of company policies and procedures.
- Monitor HR metrics (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill, engagement, etc.) to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with the Director of HR on major initiatives such as performance management, compensation reviews, and culture/engagement programs.
- Support change management efforts and ensure smooth execution of new HR projects or system implementations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success leading both HR operations and talent acquisition functions.
- Experience managing HR in a high-growth environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Paycom or comparable HRIS strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR strongly preferred.
