Our client in Passaic County is seeking an experienced HR & Benefits Consultant to begin immediately. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless transition in managing our full benefits lifecycle and supporting employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of employee benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
- Manage open enrollment from planning through execution.
- Handle employee leaves of absence (FMLA, STD/LTD, parental leave), worker’s compensation claims, and benefits-related employee inquiries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Utilize Paycor and the Paycor Benefits Advisor platform to administer and maintain benefit plans.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Maintain accurate benefit records and support audits, reporting, and data integrity.
- Partner with HR to support onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or HR with a strong benefits focus.
- Experience managing open enrollment and complex benefits programs.
- Strong knowledge of leaves, worker’s compensation, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Paycor and/or similar HRIS/benefits admin systems (Paycor experience strongly preferred).
- HRSP, SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR a plus.
- Strong communication, employee service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to start immediately and manage a fast transition period.
