The Ferraro Law Firm is a rapidly expanding mid-sized plaintiff personal injury firm, actively seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and organized HR Director that will work directly with the firm’s Shareholders to drive organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. As the HR Director you will play a critical role in creating a fair, positive and engaging work environment. Our office is conveniently located in the vibrant Brickell financial district of Miami, Florida.
The HR Director will champion change management and must be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks such as interpreting policies and procedures, maintaining the full recruitment cycle, as well as coaching and development of staff to manage the employee lifecycle with the ability to work independently while managing direct reports. The HR Director must be exceptionally organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar from an accredited college or university or equivalency.
- 5 years’ experience in Human Resources management role
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple projects at any given time.
- Adheres to strict confidentiality, timeliness and accuracy of all related work.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, strategic planning, and solution-oriented decision-making skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees of all backgrounds.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the internet required.
- Experience in ADP Workforce is preferred.
- Law Firm experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and maintain all human resources policies and procedures, in accordance with current and new state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate and strategize with shareholders on all employee relation issues such as staffing needs, policies or procedures, compensation and benefits programs, and any other HR aspects that impact the employee life cycle for the entire firm.
- Develop, conduct and maintain the evaluation, classification, and rating of occupations and job positions.
- Implement and maintain a full-recruitment cycle including but not limited to drafting job postings, conducting interviews, onboarding, and terminations.
- Manage and analyze current recruiting sources such as networking, job-board recruiting, recruiting firms, on-campus recruiting, employee referrals, and benchmarking software.
- Administer, analyze, and modify the total rewards program that include performance management, compensation, and benefits policies to establish competitive programs that boost employee morale and support employee retention.
- Conduct new employee orientations and exit interviews.
- Address employee relations issues, such as attendance, work complaints, or other employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Analyze skills gaps to coach and collaborate with department heads on employee development needs.
- Maintain and update employee records through ADP Workforce Now and physical files including the processing of payroll.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate company sponsored events and activities that support diversity and inclusion and cultivate a positive work environment.
