- POWER Test – Proof of passing the POWER test (issued within one year of application) is required. Candidates must upload their POWER test card to the NTN Portal prior to taking the written exam.
- Take the Written Exam through National Testing Network (NTN). All candidates must also complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) located in your candidate profile on NTN. A fee is required to take the NTN examination. Candidates with demonstrated financial hardship may submit a request to have the fee partial waived prior to test registration. See “FAQs” on the NTN website for further. Hardship subsidies will be given on a first come first served basis, as funds for these subsidies are limited.
- BFPC Interview - Candidates who pass the written exam may be invited for an in-person interview with the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
