You will be their first HR hire and have the opportunity to have a widespread impact from day one. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the company’s overall remote people strategy, aligned with rapid marketplace growth and product innovation.
- Partner closely with the engineering to optimise organisational design, headcount planning, and team structure.
- Be a thought partner on how to scale a distributed, cross-functional workforce across engineering, product, and operations.
- Build onboarding, career development, and retention programs.
- Implement performance management systems with clear metrics around productivity and impact.
- Foster a mission-driven, inclusive, and resilient culture that appeals to both the remote high-performing full-time team and our offshore contractor network of customer service and sales agents.
- Launch initiatives to improve collaboration, communication, and manager effectiveness, particularly for distributed remote-first teams.
- Oversee compensation strategy, benefits, HR systems, and compliance across multiple states and countries.
- Develop a robust set of policies and benefits to support a fully self-managed contractor network of customer service and sales agents in the Philippines.
Required experience:
- Ideally, 8+ years of HR experience, ideally in venture-backed tech companies or marketplaces.
- Ideall,y 3+ years in a leadership HR role, working closely with engineering/product teams.
- Experience building HR foundations in fast-scaling companies, ideally with exposure to gig or
two-sided marketplace models.
- Proven ability to recruit, engage, and retain technical talent in competitive hiring markets.
- Strong grasp of remote work dynamics and scaling people operations in distributed teams.
- Empathetic, data-informed, and strategic with excellent communication and stakeholder
management skills.
