We are seeking an experienced HR Director for our client, a fast-growing aerospace startup. The position will report directly to the CEO and will oversee all core HR functions—including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development.
The role is critical to building and maintaining scalable HR processes that foster a strong culture and support the company’s rapid growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of establishing HR infrastructure in dynamic, high-growth environments and thrives in an onsite leadership role. Compensation for this position ranges from $175,000–$200,000. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, aligning HR strategy with business goals.
- Partner with Corporate HR on benefits administration, HR analytics, and compensation planning.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, performance, and systems.
- Develop and deliver training for managers on progressive discipline, interviewing techniques, business acumen, and employee/labor relations.
- Design and execute talent acquisition strategies for technical and non-technical roles.
- Manage relationships with staffing agencies, universities, and local workforce programs.
- Oversee employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, driving efficiency, and ensure an excellent candidate experience.
- Build pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
- Drive a positive and engaging employee experience throughout the onboarding process and beyond.
- Maintain and optimize HR systems (HRIS, ATS, performance management tools, and employee files).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession management, and organizational design.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or HR Director role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management
- Broad expertise across HR disciplines: talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management.
- Proven track record of leading recruiting strategies and delivering results in competitive talent markets.
- Strong process implementation and continuous improvement mindset in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience with multiple HRIS, ATS platforms, and HR system integrations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification.
- Experience in the Aviation/Aerospace industry.
- Background in small to mid-sized, high-growth start-ups.
- Experience managing staffing agencies and high-volume recruiting efforts.
- Familiarity with reporting, HR analytics, and data visualization tools.
