The Role
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team and drive initiatives that shape our culture, strengthen our workforce, and align with our mission.
This position will report to and partner directly with the Director of Human Resources, providing both strategic and operational support to ensure HR programs are effectively executed across the organization.
The HR Manager will lead and develop a team consisting of Senior HR Generalists, HR Generalists, and Learning & Development staff. Because Pacific Health Group is a growing startup, candidates must bring prior startup experience and the ability to successfully build processes, adapt quickly, and lead in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
- Partner directly with the Director of Human Resources on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage HR team members, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration.
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, engagement, and compliance.
- Oversee and monitor performance management systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare-specific employment regulations.
- Create and communicate fair and transparent HR policies.
- Partner with leadership to design and deliver training and development programs.
- Track and report HR metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare.
- Startup experience required — ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment.
- Proven ability to lead a team of HR professionals (Senior HR Generalists, HR Generalists, and Learning & Development staff).
- HR certification required (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, HIPAA, and ADA.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.).
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workable or similar.
