We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in supporting various administrative and compliance tasks within the HR department. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR processes and a proactive approach to handling administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain HR documentation to ensure compliance with audits and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in scheduling, responding to unemployment requests, and providing administrative support.
• Streamline and manage folders for auditing purposes to improve efficiency and accessibility.
• Handle general paperwork upkeep and ensure all HR records are accurate and up to date.
• Provide support for onboarding processes, including background checks and documentation.
• Utilize HR systems such as Deltek Vantage Point, Teams, and Excel to effectively manage tasks.
• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Address administrative and operational needs by performing essential 'busy work' tasks.
• Support HR compliance efforts and monitor adherence to industry standards.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration or coordination.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, Excel, and HR software such as Deltek Vantage Point.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and other administrative tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of HR compliance processes and procedures.
• Experience with onboarding and background checks.
• Ability to organize and manage large volumes of paperwork efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable working 4 or 5 days a week, depending on project needs.
