Position Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing Human Resources and Safety Management across the facility. The position delivers comprehensive HR programs and services, implements integrated strategies to support organizational talent and performance objectives, and ensures consistent application of policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment and safety regulations through employee training, policy development, and regulatory adherence.
- Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain and manage the human resources information system (HRIS).
- Provide support to employees regarding benefits, payroll, and general HR inquiries.
- Manage recruitment efforts to meet organizational staffing needs, ensuring documentation aligns with equal employment and affirmative action requirements.
- Provide guidance and support in disciplinary matters and ensure policies are applied consistently and fairly.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs. Identify training needs and maintain documentation for orientation and ongoing development.
- Administer compensation processes, maintain salary structures, and conduct market analysis to ensure fair and competitive pay practices.
- Develop and administer performance evaluation programs that support consistent and equitable employee assessments.
- Create and revise job descriptions to reflect current duties and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with leadership and team members to support operational goals, quality standards, budgeting, and cost control initiatives.
- Consult with legal counsel on matters requiring legal interpretation or guidance.
- Assist in executing tactical and strategic initiatives in alignment with senior leadership directives.
- Uphold and promote compliance with all company policies and standards, including those outlined in employee handbooks and safety or quality guidelines.
- Promote a positive work environment through open communication and respectful treatment of all employees, while maintaining organizational discipline.
- Recommend and support corrective actions related to quality and compliance findings.
- Encourage and support workplace safety and environmental compliance. Report any incidents or hazards to the appropriate department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of proven HR management experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
