Cardinal Senior Living is hiring a Regional Human Resources Director to oversee the Eastern Michigan and Ohio senior living communities.

Job Description
Essential Functions- Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:
- Ensure that employees embrace our culture of care, compassion, dignity, and safety
- Manage risk of employee relations issues including providing guidance to leadership and supervisors as well as taking the lead with EEOC charges
- Follow federal, state, and local laws
- Confidentially handle employee concerns and issues
- Ensure that documentation is factual and accurate
- Benefit administration including facilitating open enrollment and COBRA requirements
- Assisting with HR functions at all facilities
- Visit every location within driving distance, once per month
- Hold weekly virtual meetings with HR staff
- Perform employee file audits at each location within driving distance a minimum of once per year
- Participates in weekly meetings or calls with Operations Directors
- Working closely with leaders to determine staffing needs to provide quality care for our residents
- Develop recruiting strategies to ensure a pipeline of candidates for all positions
- Ensure that our employees are qualified to fulfill their roles
- Takes the lead with ensuring all HR related systems (including Paycor and OnShift) are functioning properly and resolving any related issues
- Trains new HR staff
- Collaborates with leadership to promote workplace safety and ensures the company is following proper procedures with workplace injuries/worker’s compensation
- Updates company policies and company handbook as needed to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:
- 3 years of demonstrated HR experience; including recruiting/retention, benefits administration, payroll, risk management/worker’s comp
- Experience using an ATS and HRIS
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business-related field highly preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally
- Ability to complete and maintain documentation regarding a resident’s status
- Ability to operate computer systems and phone systems.
- Ability to maintain confidential data.
- Ability to build relationships with all individuals
