Job Description Summary
GE Appliances is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Manager to join our Human Resources team. As a Senior HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting HR initiatives at a large manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership and act as an employee advocate to drive organizational effectiveness, change management, and foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.

How You'll Create Possibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, aligning HR strategies with short and long-term business objectives.
- Demonstrate expertise in union relations, effectively managing relationships and navigating complex labor dynamics.
- Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and trust, promoting employee engagement and productivity.
- Administer and support all GE Appliances HR policies and initiatives, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Implement HR strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and business strategy.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to identify talent needs, attract top-tier candidates, and support effective onboarding.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, grievance processes, conflict resolution, and investigations.
- Support and lead initiatives promoting a healthy and safe work environment.
- Drive career development and employee engagement initiatives, offering coaching and guidance on training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Compensation team and business leaders on compensation strategy and salary planning, ensuring competitive and fair practices.
- Lead organizational design, staffing, employee development, and succession planning efforts.
- Actively coach and develop employees, fostering a continuous improvement mindset focused on idea generation and problem-solving.
- Drive initiatives to minimize attrition and enhance employee retention.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
What You'll Bring To Our Team
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in union relations and labor law compliance.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and foster a culture of integrity and transparency.
- Experience with change management and organizational development.
- Proficiency in HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
