Director of HR
Our client is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Director of Human Resources to build and lead the HR function during a pivotal growth stage. This role requires someone who thrives in both strategy and execution, able to create scalable systems, unify diverse teams, and foster a culture of collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of leadership presence, adaptability, and process-building expertise to guide the organization through integration, expansion, and transformation.
This role will be required to work 1-2 days onsite in Portland, Oregon and full remote schedule will be offered with time
Director of HR Responsibilities
- Build and lead core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
- Design and implement scalable HR systems, policies, and processes to support rapid growth.
- Lead integration of acquired companies by aligning HR practices, culture, and communication.
- Develop and manage programs for compliance, risk management, and employee handbooks.
- Partner with leadership on talent acquisition, engagement, performance reviews, and succession planning.
Director of HR Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree/certifications preferred).
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience
- Proven experience building HR functions and improving processes in a growing or evolving company.
- Background in a CPA, financial services, or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on, adaptable leader with strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and benefits/401(k) administration.
