Vice President of Human Resources – Healthcare
Location: Twin Cities Metro Area, MN – Onsite with flexibility
Overview
A fast-growing, multi-site healthcare organization is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Human Resources to join its senior leadership team. This is a pivotal executive role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will lead the transformation and scaling of the HR function to support rapid organizational growth.
We are looking for a forward-thinking, strategic leader with deep expertise in HR operations, talent strategy, and organizational development—particularly in healthcare or physician-based environments. The VP of HR will guide the development of systems, processes, and programs that drive engagement, retain top talent, and support the company’s mission of delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to design and execute an HR strategy that supports long-term business objectives.
- Lead and develop the HR team, overseeing all functional areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, learning & development, HRIS, and compliance.
- Build and enhance programs for leadership development, career progression, and succession planning.
- Drive employee engagement and a positive workplace culture across diverse teams and locations.
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.
- Manage compensation and benefits strategy to attract and retain high-performing employees.
- Utilize HRIS systems (UKG experience preferred) to enhance analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
- Lead change management initiatives and support organizational readiness for growth.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across the organization.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including strategic and operational oversight.
- Prior experience in healthcare, physician relations, or multi-site service organizations strongly preferred.
- HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Proven success leading HR in a growth or scaling environment.
- Strong business acumen with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient in HRIS systems, ideally UKG.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $170,000 – $210,000
