The Opportunity
Lief Labs is seeking a hands-on HR leader to take ownership of the HR function during an important period of transition and growth. This role partners directly with the CEO and leadership team to bring structure, strengthen engagement, and drive execution across the organization.
This is an opportunity for a builder—someone who enjoys being close to the business, rolling up their sleeves, and making a visible impact quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the HR function end-to-end, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
- Partner closely with senior leadership to drive alignment, accountability, and operational discipline
- Assess current processes and implement practical, scalable improvements
- Strengthen employee engagement, particularly across frontline and operations teams
- Serve as a visible, trusted presence onsite, building relationships at all levels of the organization
- Provide expert guidance on California employment law and employee relations
What You Bring
- 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles (Director, Head of HR, or VP level)
- Experience in manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or other operations-driven environments
- Proven ability to lead HR end-to-end in a hands-on capacity
- Strong employee relations expertise and working knowledge of California employment law
- Track record of improving engagement within frontline workforces
- Experience in mid-sized and/or private equity-backed companies is a plus
