Our Client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership within a dynamic, operations-driven environment. This role partners closely with site leadership to support employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and associates on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, corrective action, leave administration, harassment issues, and terminations.
- Lead employee engagement survey initiatives, including facilitation, analysis of results, trend identification, and presentation of actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain Affirmative Action Plans (where applicable), manage required EEO reporting, and ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity standards.
- Conduct internal investigations and prepare written responses for regulatory agencies, employee claims, and unemployment matters.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and maintain workforce and staffing plans; support recruiting strategies to attract a diverse, skilled workforce while minimizing turnover.
- Promote a strong culture of accountability, prevention, and employee well-being across the organization.
- Support Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives aimed at reducing workplace incidents and injuries.
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and guidance to on-site HR team members, including escalation support for complex issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience (10 years preferred), ideally within distribution, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
- Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.
