We are conducting a search for a strategic and hands-on Director of Human Resources to join a dynamic manufacturing organization following a successful merger and acquisition. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for unifying HR functions, aligning people strategies, and helping shape a cohesive, forward-looking organization.
This person will play a critical role in guiding the integration of multiple HR systems, processes, and cultures into a high-performing framework. They will act as a trusted advisor to the President while also driving practical, day-to-day improvements that strengthen operations and ensure compliance following an exciting acquisition.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, President, and executive leadership team on all people-related matters.
- Develop and execute the organization’s HR and people strategy, aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and key priorities.
- Strengthen and evolve organizational culture while ensuring alignment with broader enterprise values, leadership expectations, and standards.
- Provide executive-level insight and guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership effectiveness.
- Operate effectively within a dual reporting structure, balancing the organization’s operational independence with the governance, compliance, and reporting requirements of a larger parent company.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies, SOX-related controls, internal governance standards, and regulatory requirements across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in human resources, including time in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience operating at a senior or executive HR level within complex, regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead HR functions in organizations with lean teams and broad operational scope.
- Experience navigating matrixed or dual reporting structures, ideally within subsidiary or multi-entity organizations.
- Background in highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
