We are looking for an experienced HR Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In this role, you will provide critical support for HR operations, ensuring the smooth handling of personnel files, recruitment, and administrative tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to play an integral part in maintaining HR processes and assisting with employee-related activities.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and digitize personnel files by scanning, saving, and uploading documents into the HR system.
• Support recruiting efforts by reviewing resumes, forwarding candidates with relevant experience to supervisors, and coordinating interview schedules.
• Audit employee records for accuracy and perform detailed comparisons to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with the onboarding process and provide support for benefit-related functions.
• Conduct audits of cost center data and address mismatches in collaboration with HR leadership.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries during the manager's absence.
• Maintain the confidentiality of employee records and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling and correspondence.
• Utilize HRIS and other tools to manage employee information effectively.
• Assist in fostering positive employee relations and improving HR processes.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a human resources environment, such as an administrative, coordinator, or generalist role.
• Proficiency in Office applications, including Excel, and experience with Windows folders.
• Familiarity with HRIS and other HR-related systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing employee records and audits.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to balance multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees and supervisors.
• Experience in recruitment support, including resume screening and interview coordination.
