We are looking for a skilled HR Recruiter to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new team members. Your efforts will help shape a diverse and talented workforce while ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
• Manage pre-employment screenings and background checks to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Utilize applicant tracking systems and HR software to maintain accurate records, track candidate progress, and generate recruitment reports.
• Represent the organization at career fairs and networking events to build strong pipelines of potential candidates.
• Partner with staffing agencies to address contract staffing needs efficiently.
• Ensure timely submission and accuracy of all new employee documentation.
• Support diversity recruitment initiatives and uphold fair hiring practices to align with organizational equity goals.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
• Assist in developing and implementing recruitment policies and procedures to meet organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Proven experience in sourcing and recruiting for a variety of roles.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Solid understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years' experience in recruiting or talent acquisition roles.
