NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals is looking for a HR Director at North Valley Behavioral Hospital, our brand new Dayton, OH location. NPH is the national leader in providing medical and neurobehavioral care to patients in acute psychiatric distress. You will be joining a team of rock star staff who provide exceptional, patient-centered care and understand our patients are always our number one priority! The HR Director will manage a human resources department, oversee administration of hiring, retention, termination, personnel records, legal compliance, compensation, benefits, and long-term staffing strategies. Responsibilities include development and administration of personnel rules and regulations, pay and job classification structure.

- Oversees and directs recruitment efforts to ensure the hiring of quality staff who are committed to the hospital’s overall mission and values;
- Manages the on-boarding process to create a welcoming environment where staff feel supported and have the necessary tools and training to successfully perform their roles;
- Works with managers to address employee performance issues and create opportunities of success for involved staff;
- Evaluates HR processes/policies and makes recommendations for improvements;
- Manages all other day to day Human Resource operations including benefit and pay administration, leave of absence administration, monitoring workers compensation claims, managing unemployment claim activities and administering attendance policies;
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with Joint Commission standards and all other legal requirements and ensure files are in a constant state of “survey readiness”;
- Gathers, maintains and reports on identified HR data and analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement; and
- Ensures HR operations are administered in accordance with corporate policies, procedures, guidelines and expectations.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Regulatory agency knowledge preferred.
License/Certification
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
