Mission:
Responsible for assisting the Payroll/ Benefits Coordinator and working closely with Human Resources Manager on all Human Resources policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Daily time and attendance (payroll) maintenance in the ADP etime system.
- Attendance points monitoring
- Communicate daily call-in to Supervision.
- Prepare and post assorted communication postings for the boards as directed (includes scheduled work hours, events, meetings, etc.)
- Conduct new hire orientations for all hourly employees Direct and Temporary
- Review all employee leaves (FMLA, STD, LTD) through TELUS Health system and advise HR team on progress
- Recruitment for operator positions including coordination of the on-site interview process
- Coordinate all tracking of the training per the Quality Management System.
- Responsible for entering training into Success Factors and upkeep of training matrix.
- Send out weekly reports to operations
- Sort and distribute weekly pay checks.
- Run weekly seniority reports for the UAW
- Understand UAW policies and procedures
- Create Security and Time badges for new hires using Aurora.
- Prepare and post communication postings using Xibo system
- Handle all employment verifications.
- Fully support the Open Door Policy by providing assistance to all employees when you can and/or help direct them to the person that can help them.
- Provide any assistance required for employee engagement events such as charity fund raisers, picnics, parties, Win by Losing contest, Town Halls, etc.…
- Abide by and set the example for all Company policies and procedures.
- Recommends and is open to continuous improvements for the betterment of the company.
- Works as an effective team member in the HR department.
- Abide by all health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations which promote safety in the workplace.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's in human resources or related field
- 1 Year related work/school experience
- Professional and effective communication and representation skills.
- Must be a good listener, with great people skills, and a positive attitude.
- Must be very organized and detail orientated with an emphasis on accuracy.
- Physical ability to navigate freely in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Combination of daily sitting at a computer and walking a great deal in the offices and plant.
