The Woodmansee Group is a retained executive search firm representing a leading global automotive engineering and technology partner. They are seeking a Director of HR for the NA division.
This position will report to the CFO and serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications & Experience (Required):
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in fast-paced, complex organizations; engineering or professional services sector experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success driving cultural transformation, organizational change, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Expertise in aligning HR strategies to enable business outcomes and deliver measurable value.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a record of building trust and influencing at all organizational levels and across cultures.
• Strong knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices across North America.
• Outstanding communication, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Analytical mindset with experience using HR data to inform strategic decisions.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing HR teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement an integrated HR strategy aligned with local and global organizational objectives, supporting business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Champion a values-driven, inclusive, and collaborative culture, working closely with executive leadership to reinforce company vision and values in all HR practices.
• Lead and support organizational change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and high employee engagement throughout business evolution.
• Build and nurture relationships with leaders, managers, and employees, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for talent development and engagement.
• Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, succession planning, and workforce planning to attract, retain, and grow top engineering and business talent.
• Drive programs to build leadership capability, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee well-being.
• Ensure full compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal employment laws and regulations in both the United States and Canada.
• Monitor and analyze HR metrics to evaluate effectiveness, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage HR team performance and professional development, fostering a service-oriented, high-achieving HR function.
• Partner with finance and operations to align total rewards, compensation, and benefits programs with business objectives and market best practices.
