We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in a dual function role covering both Human Resource and light Accounting support. Ability to self-learn, problem solve, and work independently are critical, as you will be responsible for independently managing the
day-to-day functions of HR during a critical growth phase of the company.
Accounting Responsibilities
- Perform AP and AR processes (enter bills, record credit card transactions, monitor outstanding accounts receivables etc.)
- Manage sales tax collection and remittance via our 3rd party administrator (Avalara)
- Enter journal entries as needed
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements
- Process monthly commission payments to ambassadors
- Process and file yearly 1099’s
HR Responsibilities
- Processing payroll
- Process commissions for sales team
- Update/maintain employee records in our ERP system and Employee files
- Oversee employee benefit programs (health insurance and 401k), and assist employees as needed with these programs.
- Register with various state agencies to open and maintain employee withholding and unemployment accounts as necessary.
- Maintain and update employee handbook and other employee documents as necessary
- Understand HR rules and regulations and keep up on changes to relevant laws.
- Create and manage job postings
- Handle the recruiting and interview process.
- Manage the employee onboarding process including working with IT to set up computers and email/Microsoft accounts, enrolling new employee in our health insurance and other benefit plans, collecting and managing necessary documentation for new hires such as I9’s, W4’s, and employee handbooks, preparing offer letters, etc.
- Handle employee inquiries and address HR related concerns
Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of related experience
- Working knowledge of HR regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft office, with expertise in Excel
- Technology savvy with experience using ERP systems (experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus)
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-manage
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8am –5pm PST
