Position Summary
The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing oversight for all human resources functions for the facility. This position functions as a strategic partner, to continuously recruit, develop, reward, retain and recognize high-performing, engaged and empowered staff. Responsible for directing and providing the strategic leadership and operations; talent management and total rewards services in support of the hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Directs all activities related to preparing personnel-related documents for the Joint Commission surveys.
- Oversees the FMLA, General Leave of Absence process, and Accommodations process ensuring that all information is communicated in a timely manner.
- Provides consultation and training to facility management regarding employee relations issues, counseling and termination procedures as required.
- Maintains up-to-date wage and salary survey data within the relevant job market at the facility; updates salary structure and pay scales as needed or directed by the CEO.
- Coordinates with Department Heads in maintaining all compliance issues with their staff: Competency, Performance Evaluations and Orientation and other required training.
- Coordinates all activities related to the Employee Problem/Conflict Resolution Process and conducts related investigations/findings in a timely manner; reports and responds to all employees with respect to findings and outcomes in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Major in Human Resource Management or Organizational Development preferred.
- SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
- Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Must have good understanding of HR related Joint Commission Standards and be familiar with the Joint Commission Survey process. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good general computer knowledge, in Word and Excel, and ability to prepare HR reports.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in Wound Care Management (required)
- Intermediate level of experience with productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with office equipment, such as fax machines, copy machines, and phone systems
- Comfort using business email system, such as Microsoft Outlook
- Highly organized and able to create an organized and easy-to-follow system for others
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously
- Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate
direction
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to pass all background checks
