The Human Resources Director will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all HR functions for our two locations. This individual will be a team of one, responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, with the ability to work autonomously and effectively resolve HR issues.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Leadership:
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on HR matters.
• Drive organizational development and change management initiatives.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
• Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
• Implement effective onboarding and training programs for new employees.
• Develop and manage performance management systems to ensure employee growth and development.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
• Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
Compliance and Policy Development:
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Manage employee records and HR documentation.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Conduct salary benchmarking and manage the annual salary review process.
• Administer employee benefits programs and address related inquiries.
HR Operations:
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll processing and HRIS management.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR processes.
• Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve HR practices.
Ideal Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in a fast-growth and rapidly changing environment, experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience deploying new HRIS software a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
