Confidential Search: HR Manager (Manufacturing)

A well-established manufacturing organization in the Kernersville area is conducting a confidential search for an experienced HR Manager to lead HR operations across multiple sites in North Carolina.
This role will support approximately 300 employees and partner closely with plant and senior leadership to align people strategy with business goals. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic HR leadership and hands-on execution in a manufacturing or plant-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to site leadership on workforce planning, talent acquisition, compensation, and retention
- Lead employee relations, performance management, engagement, and compliance efforts
- Coach and support leaders through organizational change and employee development
- Manage and develop a small HR team
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment law compliance
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in an HR leadership role
- Prior HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Experience with recruiting, employee relations, and change management
- Proficiency with MS Office; exposure to HRIS systems such as Workday or Dayforce is a plus
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
