LHH is seeking an HR Manager for a direct hire job opportunity in Charlotte, NC! The Human Resources Manager serves as a key people partner to business leaders, supporting day‑to‑day HR operations while contributing to broader workforce initiatives. This role balances tactical execution with leadership influence, ensuring effective hiring, employee development, performance management, and compliance across sales‑focused teams. This position is fully onsite Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Manage core human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation support, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, and people‑related guidance.
- Own end‑to‑end hiring activities for roles at various levels, including sourcing, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding.
- Build and maintain effective recruiting pipelines using a mix of traditional and creative sourcing approaches.
- Partner with hiring leaders to confirm role expectations, workforce needs, and accurate role documentation.
- Administer performance review processes, including goal setting, evaluation cycles, and feedback documentation.
- Support leadership with performance improvement efforts through coaching, documentation, and employee guidance.
- Assist in reviewing compensation data and market insights to help maintain competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated.
- Support the delivery and administration of training initiatives, including on‑the‑job learning, external programs, and certification opportunities.
- Partner with managers to identify development needs and support employee growth and career progression.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to support consistency and fairness across the organization.
- Address employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Coach managers on people management fundamentals, including communication, documentation, and performance conversations.
- Ensure HR practices align with applicable employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Support audits, investigations, or legal matters in partnership with internal or external advisors.
- Contribute to broader HR initiatives such as talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development programs.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects that support organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with exposure to multiple HR disciplines such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and training.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the federal and state levels.
- Proven experience managing full‑cycle recruitment and supporting hiring managers through the selection process.
- Hands‑on experience administering performance management processes and supporting employee development initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience contributing to HR programs such as workforce planning, succession planning, or talent management initiatives.
- Exposure to learning and development programs, including internal training coordination and external education partnerships.
- Ability to analyze HR data and trends to support informed decision‑making.
