Status: Full time
Compensation: 80k – 115k plus bonus eligibility

This role is a key leadership position. You will run day to day HR operations while also strengthening culture, manager capability, and organizational efficiency across the business.
The Role
As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead a busy HR team and serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization. You will help us stay compliant in a multi-state environment, improve HR processes, and elevate how we lead and support people.
This is an
on-site role in Aurora, Illinois. We are looking for someone who shows up with energy, curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a high performing HR team (recruiting, HR coordination, generalist support, benefits, payroll partnership)
- Own employee relations with a calm, fair, and practical approach that protects the employee experience and the business
- Serve as a multi-state HR and compliance leader, tracking changes in employment laws and ensuring policies and practices stay current
- Coach leaders on performance management, accountability, communication, and team effectiveness
- Improve HR systems and workflows through continuous improvement, standard work, and smart use of tools and data
- Partner with leadership on organizational planning, staffing, and talent development
- Support recruiting strategy and execution for high priority roles, including strong hiring manager partnership
- Strengthen HR visibility and credibility by learning the business deeply and building strong relationships across functions and sites
- What success looks like in the first 90 days
- You have built trust with the HR team and key leaders, and you have a clear operating rhythm
- You have a practical compliance approach for our multi state footprint
- You can explain how the business works, how we win, and where HR can make the biggest impact
- You have identified 2 to 3 process improvements and started implementing them
- Leaders feel supported, challenged appropriately, and confident in HR partnership
What We Are Looking For
- 7 plus years of progressive HR experience, including significant generalist and employee relations work
- Experience supporting multi state HR compliance, with the ability to build a system to stay current
- People leadership experience, or clear readiness to lead a team with structure and accountability
- Strong judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally
- A continuous learning mindset, you invest in your own growth and bring new ideas into the organization
- High pace and strong prioritization skills, you can move quickly without creating chaos
- Comfort being on site daily and building real relationships across the organization
- SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus, but practical capability matters most
