Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Recruiter to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent through multiple channels, including online job platforms, onsite job fairs, and partnerships with trade schools and community organizations. The Recruiter will also play a vital role in onboarding new team members, ensuring they are set up for success from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates across various job platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc.)
- Represent Apex at career fairs, trade school events, and other community hiring initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade schools, workforce development programs, and community partners to create ongoing talent pipelines
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from job postings to offer acceptance
- Coordinate and conduct interviews in partnership with hiring managers
- Support new hire onboarding, ensuring team members are welcomed, trained, and properly set up with the tools and resources needed for success
- Track recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness and recommend process improvements
- Promote Apex’s culture, values, and reputation as a leader in the trades industry throughout the hiring and onboarding process
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a recruiter
- Familiarity with multiple job platforms and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage with candidates and community partners in a professional and approachable manner
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Willingness to travel locally for job fairs and recruiting events
- Knowledge of onboarding processes and new hire support is a plus
