Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the sole HR lead, managing all day-to-day HR operations with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals and enhance company culture.
- Enhance and maintain HR processes including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees to help foster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR practices and introduce scalable processes that support growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain all necessary reporting and documentation.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and support the creation of a people-first culture.
- Process weekly payroll
- Maintain employee data in their HRIS (Paycor)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a small business or similar environment where you’ve served as the primary HR resource.
- Strong working knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and people operations.
- Demonstrated ability to balance tactical HR work with strategic planning.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
- Passion for building meaningful relationships and cultivating an engaging employee experience.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus but not required.
