My client is seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Manager to lead and support HR functions for their non-union workforce. This role is responsible for overseeing benefits administration, employee relations, new hire orientation, payroll processing, and ensuring HR policies and practices are consistently applied. Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace issues, performance concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Conduct investigations related to employee complaints, conflicts, or policy violations; document findings and recommend resolutions.
- Promote a positive work environment through consistent, fair, and proactive communication.
Benefits Administration
- Oversee the administration of health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Support open enrollment processes, including employee communications, benefits education, and system updates.
- Manage benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and vendor communications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Payroll Processing
- Process payroll for non-union employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and maintain payroll records.
- Partner with Finance on payroll reporting, audits, and year-end activities.
Recruitment & New Hire Orientation
- Support the full cycle recruitment process, including job posting, interviewing, and selection for assigned roles.
- Lead new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition and positive employee experience.
- Manage employment documentation, I-9 verification, background checks, and new hire paperwork.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and internal HR policies.
- Maintain employee files, HRIS data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
- Recommend and support HR initiatives that enhance workplace culture, engagement, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience; HR Manager experience strongly preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required).
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration, employee relations, payroll processing, and onboarding processes.
- Experience with non-union employee environments.
- Proficient with HRIS and payroll systems; strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
