Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department and drive strategic initiatives that enhance our organizational culture and performance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employment and labor laws, talent acquisition, and employee management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to foster strong employee relations while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Manage employee orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Administer benefits programs and ensure compliance with FMLA, EEOC, ADA, and workers' compensation regulations.
- Work with the Safety Director to help ensure OSHA laws are followed as required.
- Supervise HR staff and provide guidance on conflict management, training & development, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives related to human resources management.
- Facilitate change management processes to support organizational growth and adaptation.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to inform decision-making related to talent management and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws while managing contracts related to HR services.
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role in Manufacturing with a strong understanding of human resources management principles.
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA regulalations and ADA policies.
- Demonstrated success in talent acquisition, negotiation, program management, and performance management.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Proficiency in HR software systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to the Executives as well as the employees.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on process improvement and strategic planning capabilities.
