About the Role
We are partnering with a growing company of 170 employees across multiple locations nationwide to recruit a Human Resources Director. This is a stand-alone, hands-on position where you’ll work directly with employees and leaders at all levels to shape the employee experience and drive HR strategy.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution. Manufacturing industry experience and multi-location exposure are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration (Paylocity), and personnel records.
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers: address employee relations matters, lead investigations, coach leaders, and ensure fair application of policies.
- Oversee recruiting activities: job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Support internal communications by drafting and coordinating company-wide announcements.
- Coordinate performance reviews and assist managers with feedback and development conversations.
- Act as primary HR contact for employee benefits; collaborate with Finance on compensation benchmarking and compliance.
- Maintain HR compliance including EEO, Affirmative Action, audits, and required reporting.
- Prepare HR dashboards and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as an HR Manager or Director supporting ~200 employees or a similar business unit.
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Multi-location experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and talent development.
- Hands-on, approachable leader who can balance strategy with execution.
