We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Director to lead our HR function and partner with senior leadership in driving organizational success. This role oversees all HR programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, while fostering a positive, engaged workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company objectives.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, compensation policies, and benefit programs.
Lead employee relations initiatives, including investigations and union-related matters.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession management, and performance development.
Oversee compensation, benefits, and annual renewals with carriers and brokers.
Monitor HR metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Drive employee engagement through surveys, feedback, and culture-building initiatives.
Establish training and development programs to support employee growth.
Manage vendor relationships with consultants, brokers, payroll providers, and benefit administrators.
Prepare and maintain HR reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience; multi-site experience preferred.
Strong generalist background across employment law, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and training.
Proven success working in a union environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead strategy development and implementation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Proficiency with HR technology and workplace tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to travel to company locations as needed.
Preferred:
Project management experience.
Experience collaborating across compliance, safety, and risk functions.
