Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support HR operations across multiple locations, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, labor relations, and union environments. This role will partner closely with leadership to ensure HR policies, compliance, and workforce strategies align with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting unionized workforces, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, and fostering a positive labor-management relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
Labor & Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for union-related matters.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Partner with managers and union representatives to resolve grievances, disputes, and workplace conflicts.
- Support contract negotiations by providing HR data, insights, and recommendations.
Human Resources Management
- Oversee daily HR operations for assigned locations in Riverview and Four Corners.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Handle performance management, corrective action, and disciplinary processes.
- Support recruitment efforts, onboarding, and workforce planning.
Compliance & Policy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and internal HR process improvements.
Culture & Organizational Support
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
- Train managers on HR best practices, conflict resolution, and policy adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of HR experience, including direct experience working with unionized workforces.
- Strong understanding of labor law, collective bargaining agreements, and dispute resolution processes.
- Excellent communication, mediation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Riverview, FL or Four Corners, FL.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to support multiple locations.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required.
