A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join their team. Reporting to CEO, the Director of Human Resources will play a crucial role in unlocking organizational capabilities. This role will define & support US HR systems, processes, programs and policies while providing operational HR leadership in North America.
Legal & Compliance
- Update, maintain, and oversee HR policies ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Keep up with human resources trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Process, Policy & Procedures, Technology
- Lead and manage the HR team to drive department efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company’s mission and objectives
- Partner with the CEO and CFO to develop, assess, and implement total rewards plans that are fair, competitive, and compliant with applicable laws.
- Review and negotiate annual contracts with benefits providers
- Oversee the selection and maintenance of HR technology software
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
People
- Consult with C-suite to develop an organization-wide learning and development program that provides the growth needed for the employees.
- Establish HR KPI metrics and analysis to devise creative solutions that deliver measurable results aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
- Perform cadenced analysis of company employee total rewards packages benchmarked to industry standards and job market conditions
- Provide support to managers on employee matters including employee relations, performance management, coaching and development, disciplinary action, and compensation management
Recruitment
- Build a robust North America Talent Management function to ensure current and future workforce needs are met, and to identify talent gaps.
- Oversee the talent acquisition process, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies of the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years HR Experience, with 3 years in a Senior HR Role.
- Experience working with global teams. In-depth knowledge of human resources subject areas and best practices.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or relevant certifications
- Ability to speak Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or German is a plus, but not required
