The HR Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategic human resources initiatives that aim to attract, manage, and retain talent to support organizational success. As a member of the Leadership Team with oversight of North and South America, this role also contributes to global projects in collaboration with headquarters.
The HR Director serves as a key contributor in formulating and executing human resources strategies that secure, engage, and retain top talent aligned with the organization’s objectives. This function ensures that people strategies are customized to meet the specific requirements of each business unit. Through partnership with senior leaders, the role emphasizes talent management and succession planning, guaranteeing appropriate staffing for present and future organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development
- Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior management team
- Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization
- Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management
- 7+ years' of professional HR experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
