About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead all human resources functions for our financial services firm. This is a standalone role, ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Advise senior leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
- Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and financial industry regulations.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all roles, including executive-level positions.
- Build relationships with external recruiters and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Performance Management:
- Oversee annual performance review processes and implement improvement plans.
- Support managers in coaching and employee development initiatives.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer payroll and benefits programs; liaise with vendors for health, retirement, and wellness plans.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend adjustments based on market trends.
- HR Operations:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a standalone HR role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements in New York.
- Experience in financial services or professional services industry preferred.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
