A leading architecture and design firm is seeking an HR Business Partner to join its growing team in NYC. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders across the East Coast Region, driving talent acquisition, development, and engagement strategies that align with business goals.
On-site schedule: 3–4 days per week in office
Base salary: $95K–$115K+ annual bonus
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute talent strategies and workforce planning initiatives
- Lead recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles, from sourcing through offer stage, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience
- Drive performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies
- Facilitate succession planning and talent reviews with Studio Directors across the East Region
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and propose process improvements
- Support leadership development and organizational design initiatives
- Collaborate with HR peers firmwide to ensure consistency across offices and initiatives
- Partner on firmwide DEI and cultural engagement programs
- Contribute to social media recruiting and employer branding strategies in partnership with Marketing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification a plus)
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within architecture, design, or professional services industries
- Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, performance management, and workforce planning
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, creative, and highly collaborative environment
- Proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems; knowledge of employment laws and regulations for multi-state environments
