Bank located in Midtown is looking for an experienced HR manager to direct workday operations and payroll for over 1,000 employees. The position is hybrid, 3 days in office in Midtown.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with various HR teams to define and modify business processes related to the configuration of Workday and other HR systems
- Act as subject matter expert for Workday (day-to-day troubleshooting and emergency intervention when required)
- Own all integrations including day-to-day maintenance, configuration changes, and initial setup.
- Provide strategic leadership for Payroll function by developing and overseeing the administration of policies and procedures
- Lead team of associates who administer payroll for 1000+ employees, ensuring timely and accurate bi-weekly and ad hoc payroll processing.
- Provide Workday support to all departments on matters related to Workday functionality.
- Audit and approve transmissions for tax and garnishment payments along with related reports.
- Identify opportunities for existing process and system improvements, as well as appropriate new technologies.
- Manage the preparation of annual W-2 and related tax filings, as well as any other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 6+ years of related HRIS, Payroll, and Time & Attendance system experience.
- Must have experience managing Payroll/HRIS team.
- Must have experience configuring Workday.
- Workday certifications are a plus.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
