Summary:
BizOps Collective is seeking a HR Manager to lead and oversee all facets of Human Resources operations for a manufacturing client. As the company’s sole HR professional, you will serve as the trusted point of contact and strategic partner for leadership and staff, driving key initiatives across talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee relations, HRIS/payroll, policies and procedures, compliance, safety, reporting and analytics, and special projects. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by shaping HR practices that support both employees and organizational success.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new employees. Facilitate new employee onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the company. Oversee the employee offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring proper documentation. Evaluate and revise employee job descriptions, offer letters, and compensation packages.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and disputes, ensuring proper protocols are followed. Develop and implement employee related initiatives that help increase retention, foster a positive work culture, and ensure that employees feel heard and valued.
- Leadership Development: Take the lead on developing leadership programs and initiatives to elevate the capabilities of the company’s leadership team and prepare for future growth. Continuously provide guidance to leadership regarding employee matters and/or internal processes.
- Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management processes, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and feedback. Develop strategies to support continuous employee growth and development.
- Benefits Administration: Manage benefits administration for all employees including handling open enrollment, vendor management, and all communication with the Benefits Broker and insurance carriers. Stay up-to-date on market changes to ensure employee offerings remain competitive. Manage all leave requests and benefits claims such as FMLA, disability, workers comp, etc.
- HRIS/Payroll Administration: Maintain HRIS and payroll systems to ensure all employee data is accurately entered/reflected, proper documents are maintained, and automated workflows are in place. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll wages, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions in partnership with the Director of Finance. Generate and analyze various HR and payroll related reports.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Stay up-to-date with OSHA regulations and handle all safety, accident, and injury matters, reports, and audits. Maintain proper recordkeeping practices.
- Policies & Procedures: Identify, develop, and implement processes that help build structure and clarity. Review and revise the employee handbook while continuously working to update and streamline operations. Act as an Advisor to employees and ensure all updated policies are communicated and distributed in a timely manner.
- Special Projects: Partner with leadership on additional tasks/projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR Certifications are ideal.
- 5+ years of progressive HR management experience within a manufacturing or warehouse operations environment.
- Comfortability being the sole HR professional and go-to for a small company with in-depth knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Paylocity software experience is a plus.
- Proven success driving special projects related to HR processes, program initiatives, and improvements.
- Extremely self-motivated individual who is proactive and takes initiative.

This is a full-time, salaried position that has the opportunity to earn project-based bonuses on an annual or quarterly basis. Will sit on site in the office, M-F 8-5PM. Company pays the employee's healthcare and offers a complete range of benefits/perks that are competitive.
