Overview: The Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Director to join our team. The HR Director will play a crucial role in shaping the company culture, driving HR strategies, and ensuring effective management of all human resource functions. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role involves strategic planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance with employment labor laws and regulations. The HR Director will work closely with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to support the agency's mission and goals.
The Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency (SETHRA) is a nonprofit quasi-government organization dedicated to creating happier, healthier, safer communities by enriching the lives of vulnerable people. As a member of the Tennessee Association of Human Resource Agencies, SETHRA integrates, coordinates, and provides a wide variety of services including housing assistance, utility assistance, food assistance, aging and disability services, justice services, and public transportation across nine counties in Southeast Tennessee.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience managing all aspects of HR, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Experience with HR software and systems.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time on-site position at 37.5 hours per week. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position operates out of SETHRA's central office in Dunlap, TN.
