Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $135,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead all core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
- Supervise and guide the HR and recruitment teams to meet departmental goals and deliver excellent service.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals and foster a high-performance culture.
- Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance plans, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership to design and improve HR programs, policies, and systems that support employee engagement and retention.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance, and nonprofit sector practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, and benefits management systems; experience with performance management tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Senior-level HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or PHR is a plus.
- Commitment to serving vulnerable populations and supporting mission-driven work.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience in budgeting and workforce planning.
- Ability to coach managers, promote diversity and inclusion, and foster a culture of feedback and development.
