Position Overview
We are seeking an organized and resourceful HR Generalist to join our team. This role provides comprehensive support across key areas of Human Resources, including benefits administration, leave management, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and policy support. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers, helping to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring smooth HR operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee leave programs (FMLA, state, and federal) while ensuring full compliance.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts—job postings, candidate screening, scheduling, and offer coordination.
- Conduct new hire orientation to ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
- Maintain knowledge of employment laws and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in the development, updating, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Serve as a resource to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and help promote a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required*.
- 2+ years of HR experience in a generalist or related role.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
