As a People Operations Business Partner at Our Home, you will work closely with leaders and employees across operations, production, and shared services teams. This is a hands-on role with a wide scope—supporting everything from hiring and training to employee relations and retention.
You’ll partner with leaders to ensure the employee experience is positive, consistent, and aligned with Our Home’s values. Your work will directly influence team engagement, leader effectiveness, and long-term retention.

Responsibilities
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment and selection process, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience that prepares new hires for success.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and serve as a resource for employees and leaders on day-to-day issues, helping resolve concerns fairly, consistently, and in line with company policies.
- Training & Development: Ensure training sessions are completed (e.g., new hire orientation, safety refreshers, leadership basics) and track participation. Support employees with access to development tools and learning opportunities.
- Performance & Attendance: Guide supervisors through performance conversations, attendance tracking, and documentation. Help reinforce expectations and support employee growth.
- Culture & Retention: Help implement programs that support a positive culture, improve morale, and celebrate employee contributions (e.g., recognition, values-based programs, stay interviews).
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure HR practices follow company policies and local/state labor laws. Keep records organized and up to date.
- HR Operations & Reporting: Maintain employee records, support payroll and benefits questions, and track HR metrics for monthly reporting.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager role
- Working knowledge of HR practices across the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and offboarding
- Familiarity with employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and worker’s compensation practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and credibility with frontline employees and managers alike
- Ability to analyze basic HR metrics (e.g., turnover, attendance, training records) and recommend actionable improvements
- Skilled in problem-solving and conflict resolution with a balanced and fair approach
- Experience coordinating or supporting employee engagement, recognition, or culture-building initiatives
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems; experience with Rippling or similar platforms is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is a strong plus, especially in manufacturing settings
