Role Overview:
The People Manager will be the go-to person for all things people-related. You will own the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding, while supporting our Head of Alignment with cultural initiatives that make Optimism an exceptional place to work. This is a hands-on, strategic role where you’ll collaborate with leadership and employees to shape our people's experience, policies, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
People Operations & HR:
- Lead all people operations, including employee relations, policies, performance management, and compliance.
- Maintain and improve HR systems, processes, and documentation.
- Manage benefits, compensation, and payroll in partnership with finance.
Recruiting & Onboarding:
- Own the full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offer management.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and deliver a smooth, positive candidate experience.
- Design and execute onboarding processes to set new hires up for success.
Offboarding:
- Manage offboarding processes with empathy and professionalism, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance.
Culture & Engagement:
- Champion cultural initiatives that align with the family office’s values and mission.
- Organize employee engagement programs, events, and feedback mechanisms.
- Support professional development and growth opportunities across the team.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced, small to mid-sized organization.
- Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment and HR processes.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain discretion, and handle sensitive matters with care.
- Passion for creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace culture.
Salary:
This role will pay between $75,000 and $85,000 annually.
